David Carpenter is a Professor of Neurology and the Medical Director for the Comprehensive Stroke Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University. He received his M.D. from the Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine where he also completed a Neurology Residency. He then completed an NINDS Fellowship. Dr. Carpenter has an active outpatient clinic where he sees multiple types of stroke patients. This includes not only those who have experienced more common etiologies of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, but also patients who have suffered from many of the more rare causes of stroke.
